AirFit P10 for her CPAP

"I was very disappointed with the two masks I ordered. The first night I wore them (one at home, the other at another location), both masks leaked, at the join between the nose pillow plate and the plastic plate it fits into, and between the ribs on the air hose (the part connected to the mask, not the part connected to the CPAP machine . I woke up through the night to find the pressure had risen to 14 or 15 when the machine was pre set to a pressure of 4. I am still awaiying a reply to my email to customer support."

FAQs

Visit our Help Centre to find more questions and answers.

How do I know if my CPAP mask is compatible with my CPAP machine?

Many CPAP masks have a universal diameter that should fit most modern CPAP devices. Some may require adapters and have specific restrictions. For more support, please contact us and we'll be happy to help answer any questions you have.

What are the different parts of a CPAP mask?

The most common components that make up a CPAP mask are the:

  • Frame - main structure that holds the mask components together and should be replaced every 3 to 6 months
  • Cushion (e.g. nasal, nasal pillow and full face) - creates a seal against the face to deliver air and should be every 1 to 3 months or as often as every 2 weeks depending on the specific cushion
  • Headgear - secures the mask in place and should be replaced every 6 months
  • Elbow or Swivel - a connector that attaches the mask to the CPAP tubing and should be replaced every 6 months
What should I do if my CPAP mask is broken or defective?

If your product has a manufacturer's defect, please contact us immediately for support as most manufacturers have a limited warranty between 30 to 90 days depending on the brand.

However, masks should be replaced every 3 to 6 months for optimal therapy effectiveness due to wear and tear from regular use and cleaning. See our recommended replacement schedule for general guidelines on when to replenish specific CPAP supplies.

What is the warranty on CPAP masks and accessories?

Typically manufacturers offer a limited manufacturer warranty of 30 to 90 days depending on the brand. If you need support with a defective product, please contact us for support.

How do I clean my CPAP mask?

It's recommended to disassemble and clean your CPAP mask cushion daily with mild soap and warm water, and your full mask and tubing weekly. Please refer to your mask user guides from the manufacturer for specific care instructions related to your CPAP mask.

How do I fix a CPAP mask leak?

If you're experiencing leaks you can try these troubleshooting options:

  • Readjust the mask to your face by lifting it off and placing it back on.
  • Adjust the placement and fit of the headgear. It should be snug but not too tight.
  • If the various components are worn out, it may be time to replace the parts.
  • Clean the mask the remove any dirt and oils.
  • Wash your face to remove any oils that may interfere with the effectiveness of the mask's seal.

If the air is leaking near your eyes, it may indicate a poor fit. If the leak is around the nose then it could be the mask is too large or not positioned correctly. If you experience leaks from your mouth then a chin strap can help keep your mouth closed during sleep.

If you are still having issues with leaks it may be time to replace your mask or try a different mask type/size. Locate one of our clinics closest to you to schedule a mask fitting.
